Monroe Arsenal Youth Academy (MAYA) volleyball is a Monroe community-based youth volleyball program. Teams are formed to practice and compete in games in the Cincinnati Premier Youth Volleyball League. Players are provided with important fundamentals and preparation for the sport of volleyball. The mission of the MAYA program is to build a solid foundation in girls and boys volleyball in the Monroe community. The goal for all teams is to grow their players' love for the game.
Who Can Play?
Youth girls and boys grades 3-6 in the Monroe Local School district for the 25-26 academic year or living in the Monroe community. Girls and boys play on separate teams.

Competition Level
All skills levels are welcomed. There are team options from beginner to competitive.

Practice Location & Dates
MAYA 5th/6th Grade: Wednesdays & Thursdays, 6-7:15PM
Practices begin August 13 and take place at Arsenal Sports Arena (previously The Field) at 215 American Way in Monroe. Each team will practice twice per week. Team-specific practice days and times are released in July.​

There are approximately 10 matches over 6 weeks, from the end of August until the beginning of October, with a postseason single elimination tournament that follows.

August 13: First day of practice
August 15: CPYVL Schedule Release. We'll update you as it's available.
August 21: Deadline to have your Liability Waiver submitted online: Sign Waiver Now
August 23: First weekend of regular season games begin
August 30: NO GAMES over Labor Day weekend
October 5: Regular season ends
October 11: Postseason tournament from October 10-12

Cost to Play
$195 per athlete, including uniform top. This fee also covers facility rental, administration, and referee fees. Fees are collected during registration.

Equipment Needed
We provide balls during practice and game uniform top. Players should wear their own athletic wear and volleyball shoes or sneakers to play. Knee pads and elbow pads are recommended.

Commitment
We understand everyone has busy schedules. Please make every best effort to prioritize volleyball. Without this effort to commit, it leaves teams in jeopardy of forfeits. All scheduling conflicts should be communicated with the coach as soon as they arise.

Coaching Staff
All coaches are unpaid volunteers. But rest assured, there will be help from National level club volleyball coaches and directors that love to share their knowledge and see the youth excel.

Administration/Management
This organization is managed by Arsenal Volleyball Academy at Arsenal Sports Arena. When Arsenal Volleyball Academy moved to Monroe, we heard of the need for a youth volleyball program and couldn't wait to help. Growing an understanding and love for volleyball with the youth is our wheelhouse. We have quickly developed a love for the Monroe community, and this is our way of returning the local support.

Registration for the Fall season is now open until August 11! Team placement will take place in July. We may reach out to hold evaluations for competitive team placement if registration numbers allow.
